Alhamdulillahilladzi bini’mmatihi tatimmusshoolihaat. The 3rd agenda of the English Camp Qur’anic School of the Da’wah Putri Council has been carried out, with the theme “With English, We can Spread Islam over the World”. This agenda was carried out from 1 February to 27 February 2023, which was located at the PKBM SMP Qur’anic School Of Da’wah Council Building on Jl. Plot Artha, Cilangkap, East Jakarta. This activity is a program of the Language Department Qur’anic School of The Da’wah Putri Council. Where this time the EC participants were students of class VIII (2 junior high schools) and class XI (2 senior high schools) of the Qur’anic School of Da’wah Putri Council.
This activity is the third time it has been carried out by the Qur’anic School of Dewan Da’wah Putri in collaboration with Choice English Course Pare with a tutor, Mrs. Vicky Fauzy, and Mrs. Arin Nadhifah. With the implementation of the English Camp, it is hoped that students will be able to communicate actively as well as be able to preach, and spread amar ma’ruf nahi mungkar using English.
As for the activities during the English Camp, a total of 27 participants from SMP and SMA Qur’anic School of Dewan Da’wah Putri took part in this activity. All students participating in the English Camp started their activities at 04.00 by carrying out Qiyamul Lail and Fajr Prayers in the congregation, followed by Morning Dhikr and tausyiah. After that, the students carried out cleaning and toilet activities until 07.00 and continued with breakfast. Then students take part in the Tahfizh class from 08.00 to 09.30 and then attend the English Camp class with their tutors. The English Camp class is divided into three sessions every day, the first session starts at 10.00 to 12.00, the second session is from 13.30 to 16.00 and the third session is from 20.00 to 22.00. And Alhamdulillah, all the students looked very enthusiastic about participating in the English Camp this time.
After 18 days of participating in the English Camp, students are subjected to an English Area or an area where English is mandatory and if someone uses Indonesian, they will be punished by the tutors.
On Saturday 25 February, students held an Outing Class activity with the aim of Kota Tua, using 7 private cars from several student guardians and teachers. The outing class group departs at 7:30 a.m., while the Outing Class activity aims to hone students’ skills in communicating in English with tourists or travelers there. At 14.30 the outing class group returned to the PKBM Building.
On Monday 28 February 2023, the day came for the closing of the English Camp, where the closing was held at the Hall of Sakinah PMCC. The event starts at 09.00 and until 11.30. In this closing event, all parents and teachers were invited to attend. The students presented various performances using English, such as presenters, speeches, conveying impressions, poetry, and theater drama performances. Approaching midday time, the highlight of the event that the students had been waiting for arrived, namely the announcement of the best English Camp students which made the atmosphere even warmer. Some of the participants looked very enthusiastic when they heard the names of their close friends mentioned by the English Camp tutor. The event continued with the awarding of certificates and placards by Ustadzah Uli Staff Bid. Language as the person in charge of the English Camp to Mrs. Fauzy and. Mrs. Arin is the English Camp tutor. The event was finished and closed with photos and eating together.
